It's another Monday....

Dishes for Wishes was a HUGE success. Thanks to all who came downtown Sunday night and raised money for the Make A Wish kids.

Win Ron's Money is a game we play on FM 100...Ron gave clues today about one of the 3 questions he plans to ask on Tuesday (4/29)....so if you know "What is Jimmy Buffet nibbling at the beginning of Margaritaville?" be the 10th caller and you could be one step closer to winning the big prize.

The New York Post has a list of the top 35 TV shows.......in case you missed the discussion this morning on FM 100, I'll tell you the #1 show.....they named The Sopranos! You can Google and get the whole list, not too sure I agree with all the top 10, some shows I think should have been higher. I think I may be the only person in America who has not seen The Sopranos! I just got HBO, so I guess I'll finally get caught up...yeah, I know, I am a few years behind. :)

pinocchio....or Ron????

Is it Pinocchio...oh, no....it's Ron Olson in his truest, most comfortable place in life....as a liar...just look at his blog today and you'll see nary one item of truth. In all honesty, I feel as though I am dissing the image of Pinocchio by comparing him to Ron. Ron could use some help from Jiminy Cricket and to paraphrase Will Ferrell in his soccer movie KICKING AND SCREAMING... Ron's name is liar, cause he's telling lies.

Things going on this week....

Hi there, I know...long time no write. It's been crazy with the kids and sports and all the work commitments that hit this time of year! Things going on the this week include the Women's Foundation of Greater Memphis Luncheon which I will attend Tuesday.

While the weekend was cool. temperatures will warm up by Sunday just in time for the Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival. I spell it c-r-a-w-f--i-s-h....others go with c-r-a-y-f-i-s-h. I guess i prefer to spell it the way it sounds. It's downtown on Wagner Place and starts at noon. Admission is free, but proceeds from the event benefit Porter Leath. Their website is http://www.porter-leath.org/ if you want to find out more about their mission of helping children.

We still love our Tigers!!

Well, the championship game has come and gone, and sadly the Memphis Tigers lost to Kansas in the final game. Memphis had a spectacular season, they won 38 games.....in Memphis we just wanted 1 more....but alas, in the end it was Kansas who pulled out the win and the championship. In fact today's Commercial Appeal reads FROM DREAM TO NIGHTMARE and HEARTBREAK. Here are some photos from our teams time in San Antonio in the Final Four from the Commercial Appeal.

What up?

Been a while since my last blog, but there is much to talk about! First and foremost, the University of Memphis Tigers!!

Go Tigers go!!
As my last blog was dedicated to CDR, I think you know my devotion to the team. The vibe in this town is electric and I can't wait until Saturday for the game against UCLA.

As you may know, I was in Point Clear, Alabama over the weekend for a college roommate's wedding. Ford had a lovely outdoor wedding and it only started raining 3 minutes into the ceremony!! I know, what are the odds, but I hear that rain on your wedding day is good luck. She is honeymooning now. I hope to soon have some pictures from the wedding from one of my other Bama roommates Katherine (hi if you are reading this!) She is quite the photographer. I didn't remember she always had a camera in college until she brought quite a few photos to the wedding and said she had tons more at home. I hope to share some of those wedding photos soon.

Speaking of weddings and the tigers together, many will have an interesting dilemma this Saturday 4/5, months ago wedding dates were set and now ceremony time happens to be the same time as the tip off!! The solution seems to be, big flat screen TVs at the reception. In fact, I once went to a wedding in Alabama on a big football game day, and the entire group attending the reception was in front of the TV! Inconvenient on the time or not, we all know the wedding and the game must go on. Hopefully this Saturday, marriages for many will begin with a huge Tiger win!!!!

Have a great day,

K
