back from spring break

One week off work, now I am back....but wait, what's that you ask....where is Ron??? Great question, he has an uncanny ability to be well for weeks on end, then get sick while on vacation only to need to pad those vacation days with a sick day. So the question remains...is he really sick and ruining his vacations or is he a manipulative, self absorbed guy who thinks the rules don't apply to him and he can have that extra day off? Hmmmm....I'll let you decide! :)

Ron's Pedicure!!!

Yes, yesterday Ron's life changed forever.....he got his first pedicure!!

He was skeptical, and now he is sold!!!!!

Today is Chuck Norris' birthday...and what did we learn?

Ron Olson is in love with Chuck Norris.

I understand he is a "man's man" and a macho one at that, anyway...Ron was soooooooooooooo excited to talk about him and look at his photos that he had to jump for joy. See photo above.

Once it's May........

Ron....right?!?!?!?!?

Okay, time for me to be honest....when I read Ron Olson's blogs, I am often repulsed, annoyed or bothered by what is at times questionable content.

However in one instance, I found it was just the opposite......
he was talking about a sandwich.................
a sandwich so good he had to blog about it....
a sandwich so good he put a picture of it on his blog.

I am so hungry and the sandwich looks so delicious, I too have decided to blog about it and "borrow" his picture so we can all drool over it together.


He loves this sandwich so much......maybe he should just marry it! :) Now all I want is an avocado BLT, actually now I want an avocado anything.

Finally, Ron is right about something....sure it's only a sandwich, but that's a start.

Emerson in Memphis

Emerson Hart returns to Memphis Tuesday night at the Hard Rock for what is sure to be a great show....one lucky listener will get to have lunch with him too!! Here he is (pictured above) on his latest CD. He is a nice guy, he has visited with us here in the studio.

Ron returned from vacation today...plenty of guy/golf stories.....more tomorrow as he remembers them, I'm sure.

Read Across America time is here....this week and all month long a focus on reading in schools. I am visiting area schools and reading to the kids....I have already been to Kate Bond Elementary and Crosswind Elementary this year. Both great schools....I know that Germantown Elementary and Getwell Elementary are having big reading celebrations this morning too! I plan to visit Ellendale Elementary today. Read everybody!! Ron would if he could. ;)

Weekly Wrap Up

Another week has come and gone...we were very busy with Kids Kan for the Memphis Food Bank...we should get a total next week on the amount of food collected for those in our area in need.

We delved into several topics and questions....like today the question was 22% of men will do this everyday while getting ready for work....what is it? The answer......leave a glob of toothpaste in the sink! This is simply one reason why I contend that having a bathroom with double sinks can save a marriage.
