dirty laundry

I've got two kids and the laundry is always piled up. As a Mom, I do ALOT of laundry. My washer and dryer are old and white and boring, yet still efficient. But I can't help dream of the perfect laundry room.....all organized, plenty of room to hang clothes, a folding area and room for baskets of dirty clothes I haven't had time to get to....you know what I'm talking about!! But a must in my "perfect" laundry room would be that washer and dryer you see in ads and decorating magazines, those really cool looking, colorful front load washers and dryers on pedestals. I'd like the bright red ones!! My question today on the air was, are they all they are cracked up to be? (The price tag is considerably higher than a plain old washer and dryer.) While the opinions were mixed, the majority of callers did indeed prefer their front load washers and said having them on stands was an added bonus. They liked the additional height and extra storage area.

Today is National Cheeseburger day, look at Ron's blog for a list of favorites from today's callers. My favorite is Huey's!

No one won Ron's money.....he had about $55 in his wallet today, he claims he'll save some of that maybe even add to it and we will play again later this week.......right.

another work week begins

Back to it on a Monday....good weekend, my boys were busy with sports. Walker played soccer and got 4 goals....while Zachary had 1 assist in his soccer game and manged and a double and 2 singles in his baseball double header. This morning on the show Ron's daughter Jessica brought us coffee. I'm sure Ron wanted her on the show since he thinks my boys are getting too much airtime! When my kids can drive, they'll be bringing coffee too! Jessica is great fun, she is welcome anytime...especially with breakfast. :)

Tomorrow on the show, the new fun exciting game WIN RON'S MONEY and special guest from the original Dukes of Hazard, John Schneider....I think he was Bo but I could never get that straight when I was a kid.

Weekend!

What a busy weekend here in the Mid South! Many of you will spend the first few hours of your day on line ready to buy those Hannah Montana tickets.....others of us will enjoy sleeping in until 7:00 or 7:30 (that's late for me you know!) What else to do.......Cooper Young Festival in Midtown Saturday, Tiger Tailgate a bit later in the day, also this weekend the Southern Home and Garden Expo at the Agricenter.

Good luck with all your kids team sports this weekend, may you make it to the right field, on time, then repeat with kid number #2...don't forget the snacks if it's your day!!

Serious about Cyrus!

Does everyone in this town want to see Hannah Montana? It seems like the answer is yes! We have tickets on FM 100 each morning through Friday, so get up early and listen for clues in our Malibu to Memphis with Hannah Montana contest.

Not into Disney shows, no problem we have a new game on the radio...Win Ron's Money......it has to be his money since he makes the biggest bucks out of all of us who still work here.

Today marks the 6th anniversary of the attacks 0n 9/11. Can you believe it has already been 6 years? While we remember here in the mid south, thousands of New Yorkers gathered at Ground Zero to recite the names of the victims.

And finally, thanks again to all who made a donation during our LeBonheur Children's Medical Center Radiothon. $95,ooo was raised and in today's Commercial Appeal there is a picture of us holding the big check for the kids!

I'm Back!

I feel like I just started my vacation and next thing I know I am back at work today. Too bad Ron can no longer make up stories about what I was doing while I was off work! I am well, no matter what he said last week. Fine to be back, however I will admit the alarm at 3:50am seemed a bit early.

Soccer is back in full swing in Collierville and probably wherever you are if you have kids who play. Both of my sons play this year, but it's Walker's first time to play. He just turned 5! WOW! My baby is already 5...people say, they grow up so fast.....well, you only believe it when you turn around and your kids are already 5 and 7 years old. It seems like yesterday they were just little babies! Here's where seasoned parents remind to enjoy every minute....I guess they are right!

PS....I did NOT say Ms. Spears was "back" as Ron says on his blog...I'm back and he is STILL lying!!! Oh well, maybe I just should have taken a few more days off.
